…Such a corny-sounding nickname! But Dash seems to be taking it seriously… :iconrdglassesplz: :XD:

So, this is my first real attempt at shading – I’m no expert, but I’m pretty happy with the way it came out!

The nifty minimalist crosswalk background was born out of my attempts to add a simple abstract-shapes-and-colors type of background to the picture. As I tried different patterns of shapes, I stumbled upon a pattern that looked like a crosswalk. So, one stop sign and sun later, I’ve got a sort of minimalist scene for Dash to inhabit. :)
